Fablefrique/ Frederique Bos

  • Who are you and what do you do for living?

I’m Frederique, a 31 y/o self-employed young lady with a passion for fashion, social media and veganism. I work as a content creator, both visual and copy. Also I’m a freelance social media manager and I’m currently writing my first book, an autobiography about my past with and eating disorder and depression. So my current job situation is actually a little bit of everything.

  • How would you describe your own style?

I would say it’s colorful casual with an edgy and feminine twist. I don’t like wearing bold prints that much, I rather go for a bunch of different fabrics to make my outfit more interesting. Think of silk on faux leather and knitwear teamed with cotton. I also really like pastel colored combo’s, especially in summer.

  • Where or from which women do you get your inspiration from?

My passion for fashion came from my mother and grandmother. When I was younger my mother was my biggest fashion inspiration for sure. Currently I obviously get to see a lot of inspiring looks on my social media feeds, as well as on the streets of Rotterdam or the other places I’m traveling to. I have an eye and real weakness for people that dress differently. I find that so empowering, truly inspiring. To me fashion really is a reflection of who you are as a person.

  • How do you wish to inspire other women?

That’s a difficult question, I would say I wish to inspire other women with not only sharing my strengths but also my weaknesses. To me a strong woman is a woman who’s not afraid of being vulnerable. Not afraid to share struggles, doubts and worries. Vulnerability truly is strength. I think I have made it a life goal to show others what’s the use of being more vulnerable and the good that that can bring to both your life and the life of others.
